Navvis & Company's Patient Flow Opportunity tool offers an interactive, efficient method to assess hospital costs and potential for revenue growth by reducing length of inpatient stay. Compared against the CMS geometric mean for average length of stay by DRG (and defined service lines)  the tool provides users the ability to generate financial and patient flow scenarios based on reducing length of stay among  patient diagnosis-related and service line volumes, as well as the potential costs, profitability, and savings associated with each.

This resource helps health care decision makers hone the implementation of targeted length-of-stay and cost reduction strategies, and can supplement various other organizational patient flow-related initiatives such as discharge planning development, improvements in care coordination, and communication with clinical staff.

The Navvis Service Line Profitability Calculator offers the ability to develop financial projections and market scenarios for your hospital's individual service lines. The calculator helps health care decision-makers create growth projections based on a number of encounter-data variables, including current and projected service line volume, net revenue, variable and fixed costs, net income, and market share.

Users can also choose market zones of interest, allowing hospitals to pinpoint geographic areas that have the potential to yield the greatest growth and bottom-line building opportunity.
